Today Jena and I went to lunch at Brick Oven with my sister Nichole and then we went to the Bean Museum on BYU Campus. She loved seeing all of the animals and I loved being out of the house. She liked all of the small animals. If they were big at all she didn't like them. My favorite was the Zebra.
**I wish I could figure out how to make the pictures from my cell phone bigger....if any of you smart people know I would love to be taught ;)

Airborne School

So once again I am husband less....for the next three weeks Reyn is at Airborne School. All he could keep saying last night was "Babe I get to jump out of an airplane!" He has wanted to that for a long time. Lets just hope he doesn't get hurt. He will be gone for three weeks, which isn't to bad especially because we can have communication this time!! I have a few things planned to keep me busy while he is gone including: Lunch with long lost friends, Baby Showers, trip to Arizona, packing and much more. Hopefully it will go fast and I can be with my babe again. And as soon as he is home we get to move to North Carolina!

Neglected Blog

So I haven't blogged in a while, but it's because I haven't had much to blog about and if I do have something I either forget to write about it or don't have my camera to document it. We are currently playing the waiting game with the Army. You might remember that all the way back in October I mentioned that we were moving to North Carolina, but I haven't said anything about it since. Well that's how it goes with the military. We have been waiting patiently for everything to pan out, so we can move but nothing has been moving very quickly. I won't go into all of the details of why things have taken so long, but it looks like the end might be in sight :) Reyn leaves for Airborne School on April 21st and will be gone until May 13th. He is busy doing online courses to prepare him for the schools ahead....so I spend a lot of time watching movies and on the computer! Here are a few things that help pass the time while we patiently wait to leave.....

I work at Everlasting Health about three days a week. It's a little spa in good ole' Payson Utah. I do Aesthetics and pretty much just take walk ins. If you want a pedicure or something let me know and I can hook you up ;)

I watch this cute little girl about once a week....

On one of the nice sunny (spring teaser) days we went to the park...Hally loved getting out of the house, and it was very nice to feel the warmth of the sunshine :)

**I still don't have a camera, so the pictures are from my cell phone. Maybe one day I'll be able to take care of stuff and my husband will allow me to have nice things (I dropped our camera in water and have yet to prove that I can take care of another one....for some reason i just have no grip when my hands are above water)**

So pretty much this was a lame post, but I was feeling like my blog was being neglected. Hopefully my life will become more entertaining and not so lame :) Thanks for reading!!

Sewing Projects

For Christmas I got a sewing machine....so I have been working on some sewing projects. First I took in a few shirts. I was surprised at how well they turned out and so was Reyn. He had no idea I actually knew how to sew ;) Next I made this bag holder. We have so many plastic bags. We'd been keeping them in a drawer, but I needed that drawer for towels, so I made a place to put them....very easy project, I even made one for my mom. I found the tutorial at Make it and Love it. Instead of using elastic I used extra shoe laces we had at the house.

THANKSGIVING

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Reyn's Family. I helped his mom with the food. I made Green Bean Casserole, Sweet Potatoes, Pumpkin Cookies and Pumpkin Pie (my first pie from Scratch, so proud haha). We ate up at Reyn's parents house where the Missionaries and Reyn's Grandpa Bruce joined us. The food was great and so was the company. After we all stuffed our selves we spent the afternoon relaxing. Reyn and I looked through the adds preparing for Black Friday. Later that night we played Wally Ball down in the Racquetball court. The next morning Reyn and I woke up at 4 to do some shopping. We mainly just go because it's entertaining and of course we get some GREAT deals. We enjoyed spending time with Family and are so Thankful for the Freedoms we enjoy and the many blessing we have. I hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving!

ARIZONA

This last Monday November 29th Reyn and I decided to go down to Arizona. We left around 6:30 at night and drove until we got to my sisters house around 3 am. We had been planning on going down for Karlee's baptism but couldn't decide when to leave. Reyn had drill this weekend so he had to leave early and missed Karlee's baptism, but I am so happy he was able to come down for the time he did. Some highlights:

Being with the Nieces and Nephews (They absolutely LOVE Reyn)
Helping Jessica out around the house (She has her hands full with those 4 little kids)
Going on a Field Trip with Karlee to a Farm. We picked Fruits and Vegetables, went through a corn maze and many other things.
Watching Brody and Reyn practicing Wrestling
Picking out a Christmas Tree and watching the kids decorate it. It's so magical with kids!!
Helping with Karlee's 8th Birthday party. She had 12 friends over. They each got their own apron with their name, they made individual pizzas and gingerbread houses. It was a little crazy. I think I'll let my kids invite 2 friends :)

*The night we went to get the Christmas Tree Codan got sick. The next morning Brody and Jessica were sick. That just happened to be the day of Karlee's Field Trip. So I went with her and Reyn stayed home with sick kids and helped take care of them since Jessica was sick in bed as well. Jessica said he wins "Uncle of the Year award." He is so helpful and those little kids ADORE him! I definitely got a good one!

** Reyn had to leave on Friday night to make it to Drill on Saturday. On the drive home he got sick with what the kids had. Not a very fun drive. Luckily he made it safe and didn't get any tickets ;)

College Reunion

Yesterday I had a little reunion with some of my Snow College Roommates. We hadn't seen each other in a little over 3 years. Holly and Tanica came up to Reyn and I's apartment. We ate, talked and watched a college classic "8 Seconds" haha. It was so much fun to catch up with these girls. I really miss the old days...we had some fun times. I got really lucky with roommates. We missed having Lauren there. She is serving a mission. Hopefully we will meet up again before 3 years and Lauren will be there! Love ya!!

Reyn was at Fire Training....normally he gets home around 11, but they have a deadline to meet so they stayed late to get as much done as possible. I sent him this text and did not pay attention to what I was writing. Also, I was very tired :) When he came home around 1:30 am he read it to me and we both laughed (me a little longer than he)...boy I'm crack myself up.

Manti Pageant 2010

On June 19th Reyn and I went down to the Manti Pageant with his family. We sat with Dakota on the blankets....which we probably won't do again, you can't see anything and it is too easy to fall asleep :) Although, I slept through most it I loved seeing the temple and being with family. Also, it was Reyn's first night home from being at AT for two weeks. It was very nice to have him back! Love you Babe!!

Jessica's Visit

Every year my sister Jessica brings her family up from Arizona for two weeks.... It's always so fun to see them. I can't believe how big her kids are getting. We did lots while they are here...although I didn't document most of it. Reyn was gone for Military Training, so I stayed at my parents...I had so much fun while they were here, can't wait to see you again.

Whenever they come up or we go down I give the girls pedicures and Wax Dannys back. This time we even Waxed his nose :) We also went bowling and did many other fun things. Enjoy the pictures.

Girls Night

While my sister Jessica we are able to have a night out with "Just the Girls." This is the first time this has happened since we have all been married...let alone in a very long time. We ate at Chili's and just laughed and laughed. It was so much fun! I love all my sisters and mom so much. Just wish Jess and Tiff were a little closer :(. We'll definitely need to make this a tradition!

My Best friend Sheena Manning got married at the beginning of June...It was a beautiful day. Despite the 10 minutes of rain. I threw a Bridal shower for her the weekend before. It turned out so cute and was so much fun (unfortunately I was the only one with a camera and the next day I accidentally deleted them, so frustrating!! )

I am so Happy for Trent and Sheena. They make each other so happy. I am excited to see them start their lives together!

Today we needed to drain the honey off of the honeycomb, but we still don't have a Bee Keepers suit....so Reyn made his own :) I was laughing so hard when he came out with his make shift Bee Suit. TDT Alumni Dinner

Last Friday was the annual TDT (Timpanogos High Dance Team) Alumni Dinner. Every year we have done a dance in the end of the year performance for the present team. This year we had a dinner beforehand with all of the girls that could come and played some games. It was fun to see everyone again. It was crazy how everyone's lives have changed so much. It's amazing to think that I have been graduated for 4 yrs. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the practices for the alumni dance because of school, so I didn't get to perform in the concert. It was still fun to see all the girls again. It made me really miss dance though! I loved High School because of TDT. I learned so much from my coach (Karen) and all of the girls. I hope I will be able to go back in the years to come and participate in the future performances.

Marriage Seminar

This last weekend Reyn and I got a great opportunity to go to a Marriage Seminar put on by the Army. We got a free stay up in down town Salt Lake at the Radisson Hotel and our meals were paid for! Free Vacations are always nice :)

There was an Ice Cream social on Friday night. The Chaplain gave us some marriage statistics and introduced the program.

Saturday morning we woke up and breakfast and then the seminar started. They taught us some strategies to use such as "Speaker, Listener." We did activities together as a couple. Later that night we got a 20 minute couples massage that Reyn had won for us. We then had the rest of the night to do whatever we wanted. We had a gift certificate to Olive Garden from our Wedding. So we went and walked around downtown SLC and then went to dinner. We just enjoyed spending time together!

Sunday morning they finished up the seminar. And then released us to enjoy our marriages.

Going into this we mainly went for the Free Weekend out, but the seminar turned out being a great thing as well. We learned good techniques that we now can practice and get good habits started early in our marriage. I think every married couple should go to one of these. I'm sure we will go again!

March 12th was my last day working at...

I have worked there for almost three years. I worked in the Provisioning Department. That is the department that processes all of the ordered turned in by Sales and Customer Services. We ordered all of the services, coordinated the install, did some of the programming in the switch, entered 911, Caller ID and Directory Listing information. I met some great people and learned life lessons. I loved this job (there were days that I didn't love it so much) and was very sad to leave, but life is taking me in a different direction.

Reyn is preparing for some Military Training that could move us out of the state....so that means I needed to graduate from school sooner than planned. I am now going to school full time on Mondays from 1-9, but in April I will start going everyday from 1-9. This sets my graduation date to the end of September! It will be so nice to be done with it sooner and get a job working in a spa or a dermatologist office!

For now I am enjoying sleeping in and spending some much needed time with my Husband.

Currently at school I am learning the Facial of the Hollywood Stars. The "Fitness Facial" from Sonya Dakar. Acaydia is the only school in Utah that carriers he products and has the license to learn her techniques. There also is only one Salon in Draper that carries her stuff as well. It is a very BIG privelage to be able to have the opportunity to learn it. Sonya Dakar is the Aesthetician Goddess of Hollywood. Celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Fergie, Gweneth Paltro and many others go to her for their skin care.

Bridal Shower

My best friend Sheena had a Bridal Shower for me. It was great to see friends I hadn't seen in a while!

My friend Jennifer Freiden took pictures of my Bridal Shower. Unfortunately she moved out of state and so it took her a little while to get them to me. Better late than never. If it weren't for her I wouldn't have any pictures at all. They turned out great.

This is while everyone was downstairs just mingling. The two little girls (Jadyn & Karless) decided to attack me!

Everyones invitation had a time of a day on it and they were supposed to get something the coorelate's with that time. It was a great idea, because I got lots of different things.

New Adventure

So I haven't updated in a while. A lot has gone on. I finally have moved everything out of my parents house...Reyn started school at the end of August and I've just been working full time, but not for long. I am starting a new adventure. As of Monday October 12 I will be going to Acaydia school of Aesthetics. I will still be working full time and going to school at night. So basically I am saying goodbye to my life...haha but I am VERY excited!! Wish me luck.

This last Thursday Sheena and her friend Jay came up to my house. We watched the Premiere of So You Think You Can Dance and made Cake Bites. So much for eating good. I blame Sheena.

After Danny's graduation my parents took their family to Disneyland. Since I live at home I got the perk of getting to go. We were there for almost a week. It was way fun. It was awesome to see how excited the kids would get over things. Especially Jadyn. Picture overload beware.

Funny story about this one. Mom kept calling Goofy Pluto. She did it like three times and never caught on. It was pretty funny

We stood in line for almost 2 hours to see the princesses and Jadyn fell asleep. We weren't going to wake the monster ;) Karlee LOVED seeing the princess' though. Her favorite was Ariel.

At the beginning of May me and my parents went down to Arizona to support my Brother-In-Law. He graduated from University Of Phoenix. He never ceases to amaze me. He is raising a family of four kids, experience a lay off this last year, but was still able to get everything done. He is such a hard worker and I love him so much. Danny is the kind of guy I can talk to about anything. He has ALWAYS been there for me and I know he always will be. Congratulations Danny!! Love ya. Here's some pictures from the Day. Enjoy.

Bridal Shower

This last Saturday my old roommate had her Bridal Shower. It was so fun to see her again. We played all sorts of games...including the Wedding Dress Creation out of toilet paper which I won :) ha it was so fun. I'm so happy for Cassie and hope I will be able to make it to her wedding at the beginning of June.

This Easter we had our usual traditions. We colored Easter eggs on Saturday night for the Easter egg bashing contest. On Sunday everyone came over to my parents house for Easter dinner and then we had the Annual Egg Bashing Contest. Jen was the winner this year. After all the fun we had desert and watched the 10 Commandments. It was a very enjoyable Easter. Hope everyone had a good one as well.

Wedding Flowers

This last Friday and Saturday I did a wedding with my friend Audrey O'Brien. It was fun to get back together and do a wedding like the old days. I worked for her while I was in Junior High and High School, but hadn't seen her for almost 2 years. It was fun to work with her again and catch up on the last two years. Thanks Audrey!! Below are some pictures from the event. It was held at Noahs in Pleasant Grove, UT. The first picture is just something I made with the flowers we didn't use. Believe it or not these are Carnations!

Seeing the world in a new way....Literally

On March 3 throught the 8th my parents and I went to Boston. My dad has two sister that live there. I am the only one who hasn't ever been out there, we decided it was about time. It was a nice break from work and I got to do some pretty cool things. We went down town Boston and did the Freedom Trail, saw Gillett Stadium, did some shopping, went and saw Blue Man Group, toured through the Mansions in Newport, Rhode Island and my favorite I got LASIK Eye surgery. My uncle has his own practice out there. It was so easy and the results are great! I am so glad that I did it. Below are some pictures....ENJOY!!

Me, Dad, Mom. We were on the Trolly. It was too cold to walk the Freedom Trail, so we did the Trolly tour. They drove all of Boston, told the history story about the sites we were seeing (Bunker Hill etc.), we saw the "Green Giant", MIT, Berkley school of Music and many more things. If you go to Boston the Freedom Trail is a MUST. Mom, Diane, Me, Dad and Amy.

Snow Shoeing

Reyn & I went snow shoeing one weekend with Paige (a girl I work with) and a group of her friends. I was surprised at how much fun it was. Its definately something I want to do every year. We went during the full moon so it was really bright. We hiked up behind Sundance to a waterfall. We were able to get some pretty cool pictures. If you have never been snow shoeing I suggest you go it is way fun!

That's right I made the plunge. Last semester I started throwing around the idea of going to school. All of my friends were going. So whenever I wanted to do something I always heard "I can't, I have homework." So I thought homework....I need homework. I actually went through with it to. I am taking 10 credits at UVU. It has definitely made me very busy, and quite sleep deprived. I am taking all night classes since I am still working full time at Veracity Communications. I have a Business class until 8:30 on Monday nights, a English & Government class until 10 on Tuesday nights and then English again until 6:45 on Thursday nights. I am trying really hard to not procrastinate, but I can't say I have been very successful. We'll see how it goes. Although I am busy I am very glad I decided to go through with it. I feel like my life has more of a purpose besides going to work and sleeping.

Why?

Why does life have to be so hard? Why can you feel so alone even though you are surrounded by your family friends who you know love you very much? Why can't things just turn out the way you've always dreamed they would? Why does there have to be so much pain? I know that I am feeling all of these things for a short time and eventually things will start working themselves out and I'll feel happiness again. Just when? Patience....why can't I find any of it? Only in time right?

On Monday night Nichole called and asked if I could babysit Lleyton. I told her I would and went over right after work. I was kinda nervous cause it had been a long time since I had babysit someone so young. But it was so easy!! He is the cutest little boy. He didn't even cry when they left and didn't want me to leave when they got home. He kept giving me hugs and kisses!! He was soooo cute!! The only time he cried was when I took him out of the bathtub, but Nichole said he does that everynight. I would definately do it again. Did I already say that he is soooo cute?

A New Start

Welcome to my new blog. There have been some new changes in my life and it only seemed fit to start a new blog...some may be wondering what the changes in my life are. For one I am going to start school in January. I will be taking a Intro to Business class on Monday nights and then an American Government class on Tuesday nights. What made me decide to go to school? I have been wanting to go back for a while, but always thought that it would be too stressful with working full time. But I realized that I got so bored at home after work cause all of my friends and roommates are busy doing homework.....so why don't I go to class so I have homework? and also since I am now a single woman what better way to get myself out there? Although I don't plan on dating anytime soon I figure I might as well make myself available...who knows maybe I'll meet someone and that will all change.
